Key Responsibilities

The Automation Engineer will report directly to the General Manager and will be tasked with:
  • Designing and maintaining control systems for semi-automated processing machinery.
  • Ensuring compliance with NFPA 79 certification standards.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving issues related to electrical and mechanical instruments.
  • Repairing and maintaining both production and research & development equipment.
  • Upgrading and maintaining existing process control systems.
  • Designing and fabricating process fixtures.
  • Developing and implementing innovative process control systems.
  • Training technicians on the operation of equipment.
  • Overseeing the Maintenance Program.
  • Managing the Calibration Program.
  • Creating and documenting training procedures.
  • Producing and managing production support drawings.
  • Ensuring optimal equipment performance.
Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will possess:
  • 3-5+ years of experience in designing automated systems.
  • Proven experience in vacuum manufacturing or vacuum automation.
  • Familiarity with National Instruments hardware.
  • Understanding of LABVIEW, SolidWorks, or Fusion 360.
  • Experience with engineering documentation.
