Position Overview

This role is situated within our Research and Technology (R&T) division, which is dedicated to pioneering product development and enhancing our advanced infrastructure capabilities. We are on the lookout for a seasoned Senior Electromechanical/Mechatronics Engineer to partner with teams in the design and development of intricate electro-mechanical medical devices and testing apparatus.

The ideal candidate will be adept at managing multiple projects from concept through to initial proof-of-concept, and will transition into development and commercialization phases.


Key Responsibilities
  • Design and document electromechanical systems, including complete devices, subsystems, fabrication tools, and testing equipment.
  • Utilize various analytical techniques to optimize system performance and enhance design reliability.
  • Develop software for device control and data logging.
  • Create testing methodologies for early-stage characterization and formal validation activities.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure manufacturability from rapid prototyping to formal component procurement.
  • Conduct design reviews and root cause analyses to address any encountered failures.
  • Understand customer needs and product usage environments.
  • Ensure compliance with quality and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

The candidate should possess a Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field, along with a minimum of 5 years of relevant industry experience. Proficiency in electro-mechanical system design, mechanical design tools, circuit design, and software development is essential.

We seek individuals with strong communication skills, the ability to multitask, and a collaborative spirit in a dynamic team environment.


Preferred Qualifications

A Master's or Ph.D. in a relevant engineering discipline, experience with Class III medical devices, and proficiency in FEA and system modeling tools are advantageous.
