Job Overview

The Project Coordinator is responsible for overseeing construction initiatives in collaboration with the Project Team. This role involves strategic planning, design, execution, monitoring, and project closure. The Project Coordinator allocates resources, formulates budgets, and tracks progress, ensuring accountability for the complete project scope, team, and overall outcomes.

Primary Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee the entire project scope, team, resources, and success metrics.
  2. Collaborate closely with the Project Team, managing projects from initial client engagement to final hand-off.
  3. Direct the planning, design, execution, monitoring, and closure of projects.
  4. Guide and mentor Assistant Project Managers, ensuring adherence to company protocols.
  5. Build and maintain positive, long-term relationships with clients.
  6. Lead the preconstruction phase, including site assessments and subcontractor selection.
  7. Work with estimating teams to create and manage bid packages.
  8. Develop schedules and manage timelines throughout the project lifecycle.
  9. Participate in the award process and the preparation of subcontract agreements.
  10. Prepare budgets and estimates for all design stages, overseeing resource allocation and progress.
  11. Manage master schedules and project timelines.
  12. Provide regular updates and schedules to executive management.
  13. Coordinate the acquisition of necessary permits.
  14. Ensure timely and accurate subcontract and change order documentation.
  15. Verify employee time allocations and ensure accurate timesheet submissions.
  16. Uphold safety standards for all assigned projects, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
  17. Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications:

  1. Minimum of 5 years of relevant project management experience.
  2. Degree in construction management or a related field is preferred.
  3. Demonstrated success in leadership roles with measurable achievements.
  4. Strong written and verbal communication skills across all project levels.
  5. Experience in preconstruction processes, including site assessments and proposal preparation.
  6. Proficient in scheduling, purchasing, estimating, and managing personnel and subcontractors.
  7. Preferred experience in retail, dining, and hospitality construction projects.
  8. Ability to interpret plans and specifications effectively.
  9. Experience in cost-to-complete analysis for assigned projects.
  10. Proficient in Microsoft software; experience with Microsoft Project, Sage 300, PlanGrid, and Bluebeam is advantageous.
  11. Attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
  12. Ability to identify needs and implement solutions effectively.
  13. Valuing diverse perspectives and applying logical reasoning.
  14. Must possess a valid state driver's license and maintain a clean driving record.

Compensation and Benefits:

KDC Construction offers a competitive salary range of $95,000 to $133,000, commensurate with experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package for full-time employees, including:
