Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Project Engineer Intern to join our team at The Raymond Group. As a Project Engineer Intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various areas of our operations, including project management, field operations, estimating, engineering, safety, and accounting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the execution and support of projects to ensure timely completion, quality standards, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Participate in project management meetings to discuss project progress, identify potential issues, and develop solutions.
  • Collaborate with project management to coordinate activities, ensure compliance with safety protocols, and maintain accurate records.
  • Conduct contract reviews to ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of construction project schedules to ensure timely completion and minimize delays.
  • Participate in process submittals, RFI reviews, and safety and quality control walks to ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards.
  • Take part in project take-off and close-out activities to ensure accurate documentation and compliance with company policies.
  • Create purchase orders and change orders to ensure accurate tracking and compliance with company policies.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; actively pursuing a Construction Management or Engineering degree at an accredited university or possess a minimum of two years of experience in construction or a related field.
  • Strong verbal, written, analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Adaptable and interested in working on multiple, different assignments.
  • Able to effectively interact with all levels of personnel and management.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior work experience in the field on a commercial construction site.
  • OSHA 10-hour training or equivalent safety training.
  • Able to read blueprints.
Salary and Benefits

$25.00 per hour, with comprehensive technical and on-the-job training provided.
