Senior Electrical Engineer RF Avionics Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer RF Avionics to join our team at Blue Origin. As a key member of our Avionics team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and verifying high-performance hardware for various flight vehicles.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop RF communication subsystems and components, with a strong focus on UHF and S-bands.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical, ground, and operations, to ensure seamless design implementation.
- Develop and implement test procedures, as well as plan and execute testing for all phases of the electronic product lifecycle.
- Mentor and coach other avionics engineers within the RF team, and have ownership of design modification and implementation of team standards, processes, and plans.
- Work closely with manufacturing engineers to create and approve assembly drawings, and partner with production engineering to develop and support sustaining engineering plans and procedures.
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical or Computer Engineering, Physics, or related field.
- 10+ years of proven experience in RF design of sophisticated aerospace/space hardware.
- Desire to work hands-on, both independently and as part of a team, throughout the design, verification, qualification, and production phases of the electronic product lifecycle.
- Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to our culture of inclusion.
- Working experience with software-defined radio (SDR) implementations of radio transceivers, RF testing equipment, and RF PCB design, layout, verification, fabrication, and testing.
- Master of Science in Electrical or Computer Engineering, Physics, or related subject areas.
- 15+ years proven experience in RF design, development, integration, test, and operation of avionics systems or vehicles.
