Avionics Circuit Design Engineer

At Blue Origin, we're pushing the boundaries of space exploration and development. As an Avionics Circuit Design Engineer, you'll play a critical role in designing and developing high-performance avionics circuits for various flight vehicles. Our team is dedicated to creating innovative solutions that enable safe and efficient space travel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of engineers to deliver a comprehensive library of proven Avionics hardware circuit solutions.
  • Design, develop, and verify high-performance avionics' circuits for various flight vehicles.
  • Work closely with technical leads across Blue Origin to drive requirements definition, modeling, analysis, design, test, and production release of on-vehicle launch, flight, and power management components and sub-systems.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical or Computer Engineering, Physics, or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in the design of complex hardware.
  • Expertise in circuit analysis and simulation, including worst-case circuit analysis, signal/power integrity analysis, and logic and circuit (SPICE) simulation.
  • Experience in grounding and general board layout principles, including EMI/EMC tradeoffs.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 15+ years of experience in the design of complex hardware.
  • Expertise in one or more of the following areas: high-speed digital, analog, and/or mixed-signal circuit design, build, and troubleshooting, with a strong understanding of EE principles; circuit analysis and simulation, including worst-case circuit analysis, signal/power integrity analysis, and logic and circuit (SPICE) simulation; experience in grounding and general board layout principles, including EMI/EMC tradeoffs; battery-based power systems, including power management, power switching, charging, and battery safety; computer command and I/O control for sophisticated industrial systems or vehicles; RF communication subsystem and/or component design, with a strong background in RF principles; design of Data Acquisition Systems and familiarity with a variety of sensor technologies; background developing sophisticated circuit cards, consumer electronics, wireless devices, or other advanced electronic commercial or aerospace products.
