Job Title: Senior Electrical Engineer - Avionics Circuit Design

At Blue Origin, we're pushing the boundaries of space exploration and development. As a Senior Electrical Engineer on our Avionics Circuit Design team, you'll play a critical role in designing and developing high-performance avionics circuits for our flight vehicles.

About the Role

We're seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team of experts in Avionics Circuit Design. As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you'll be responsible for:

  • Designing and developing high-performance avionics circuits for various flight vehicles
  • Collaborating with technical leads across Blue Origin to drive requirements definition, modeling, analysis, design, test, and production release of on-vehicle launch, flight, and power management components and sub-systems
  • Working hands-on, both independently and as part of a team, throughout the design, verification, qualification, and production phases of the electronic product lifecycle
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical or Computer Engineering, Physics, or related field
  • 10+ proven years' experience in the design of complex hardware
  • Expertise in one or more of the following areas: high-speed digital, analog, and/or mixed-signal circuit design, build, and troubleshooting, with a strong understanding of EE principles; circuit analysis and simulation, such as worst-case circuit analysis, signal/power integrity analysis, and logic and circuit (SPICE) simulation; experience in grounding and general board layout principles, including EMI/EMC tradeoffs; battery-based power systems, including power management, power switching, charging, and battery safety; computer command and I/O control for sophisticated industrial systems or vehicles; RF communication subsystem and/or component design, with a strong background in RF principles; design of Data Acquisition Systems and familiarity with a variety of sensor technologies; background developing sophisticated circuit cards, consumer electronics, wireless devices, or other advanced electronic commercial or aerospace products
