Labor and Employee Relations Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Labor and Employee Relations Specialist to join our team at the University of California - San Francisco Campus and Health. As a key member of our Human Resources department, you will play a critical role in providing labor and employee relations guidance to all levels within the organization.
Key Responsibilities- Provide expert advice and consultation to managers on labor and employee relations matters, including collective bargaining agreements and University policies.
- Lead local negotiations and represent the organization's interests at system-wide level negotiations.
- Conduct training and investigations, and respond to grievances in a fair and timely manner.
- Promote proactive management practices and administer labor and employee relations programs.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field and six years of experience in labor and employee relations or a related field.
- Advanced knowledge of labor/employment law and the principles and techniques of labor negotiations.
- Ability to lead and mentor other labor relations professionals.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle complex and sensitive issues.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with employees, managers, and external stakeholders.
- Public sector or higher education experience.
- Advanced knowledge of organizational policies and procedures.
