Overview

The role of the Lead Radiology Technologist encompasses the execution of diverse imaging techniques across various modalities, including diagnostic imaging, interventional procedures, CT scans, MR imaging, nuclear medicine, and ultrasound. This position necessitates a high level of proficiency in imaging procedures and strong leadership capabilities to effectively supervise a team of technologists.

Key Responsibilities

Patient Interaction
* Perform designated imaging procedures in accordance with established protocols, ensuring quality image production while engaging with patients across all age demographics. Maintain precise documentation and collaborate with other healthcare professionals while adhering to sterile techniques.

Team Leadership
* Provide guidance and support to meet the needs of patients and staff, manage the daily operations of the assigned imaging modality, and optimize workflow efficiency. Oversee inventory management, scheduling, and staff supervision.

Professional Development
* Keep abreast of advancements in anatomy, physiology, radiation safety, and imaging technology. Ensure compliance with safety protocols, infection control measures, and patient education initiatives.

Regulatory Compliance
* Uphold all regulatory standards and organizational policies, maintain necessary certifications and licenses, and adhere to safety protocols to foster a secure environment for all individuals. Promptly report any incidents and maintain professional ethics.

Qualifications

Education
Associate's degree in Radiological Technology - Required
Bachelor's degree in Radiology or a related field - Preferred

Certifications & Licenses
Lead Technologist 1: Arizona Department of Health Rad Tech license, BLS certification - Required
Lead Technologist 2: Current registry as a Rad Tech and CT or Mammography Technologist, BLS certification - Required
Lead Technologist 3: Current registry in MRI, ARRT and/or Interventional Radiology ARRT, BLS certification - Required
Lead Technologist 4: ARDMS certification for Ultrasound, CNMT for Nuclear Medicine, BLS certification - Required
Lead Ultrasound Technologist: RVT certification - Preferred

Experience
Lead Technologist 1: Minimum one year of experience in Diagnostic Radiology - Preferred
Lead Technologist 2: Minimum one year of experience in Diagnostic Radiology and/or a specialized modality such as CT or Mammography - Preferred
Lead Technologist 3: Minimum five years of experience as a general radiographer or six months as a certified specialist - Preferred
Lead Technologist 4: Minimum three years of experience for CNMT - Preferred
