Qualifications
  • Associate's Degree in Radiologic Technology with current ARRT certification.
  • Experience with C-arm technology is highly preferred.
  • Valid state and ARRT certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
  • Two to four years of experience in special procedures within a clinical or hospital setting.
  • Familiarity with HIPAA and OSHA regulations related to radiology and healthcare.
  • Understanding of routine fluoroscopy and examinations of the head and extremities under physician supervision.
Key Responsibilities
  • Assess patient imaging requirements by interpreting requests or directives from physicians.
  • Assist physicians and fellow radiologic technologists in executing complex imaging procedures.
  • Position patients correctly on examination tables and configure equipment to capture optimal images as per physician requests.
  • Communicate procedures to patients effectively to alleviate concerns and encourage cooperation.
  • Maintain accurate records of patient examinations, including medical histories and technical parameters used.
  • Prepare and organize the imaging room, ensuring all necessary sterile and non-sterile supplies are available and functional.
  • Adjust x-ray equipment settings to establish exposure factors such as time and distance.
  • Conduct quality control measures, monitor equipment functionality, and report any operational issues to management.
  • Coordinate with other radiologic technologists when procedures necessitate teamwork.
