Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Cardiovascular Interventional Technologist to join our team at Northern Arizona Healthcare Corporation. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing interventional cardiology, vascular, electrophysiology, and hybrid operating room procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Care
    • Obtain and review requisitions for exams and information, including patient condition and special notes.
    • Review worksheets and patient questionnaires prior to procedures.
    • Interview patients to obtain patient history and document relevant information in the electronic medical record.
    • Explain procedures to patients, obtain consent, and alleviate anxiety.
    • Address patient concerns regarding radiation exposure.
  • Procedure Performance
    • Transfer patients to examination tables, ensuring proper clothing and positioning.
    • Place immobilization devices to obtain patient comfort and precise positioning.
    • Ensure lead shields and protective clothing are properly in place and adjusted.
    • Perform quantitative analysis of digital images.
    • Review patient condition to determine proper exposure factors.
  • Collaboration and Communication
    • Relay physician orders to RNs for placement in patient EMRs.
    • Assist in performing procedures, including cardiovascular, vascular, electrophysiology, and hybrid.
    • Start and maintain intravenous and intra-arterial access.
    • Maintain and remove peripherally inserted central catheters.
  • Education and Compliance
    • Educate and monitor students and other healthcare providers.
    • Stay current with state and federal regulations and company policies.
    • Ensure certifications and licenses are up-to-date and valid.
    • Complete mandatory training modules and job-specific training.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Associates of Science degree in Radiological Technology (required).
    • Bachelor's degree (preferred).
  • Certification and Licensure
    • MRTBE and ARRT certification (required).
    • BLS and ACLS certification (required).
    • CI, VI, and RCIS certification (preferred).
  • Experience
    • Two years of competency as a general radiographer or six months as a certified specialist (preferred).
