Position Overview

The role of Lead Radiology Technologist encompasses a variety of imaging techniques across disciplines such as diagnostic radiology, interventional procedures, computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), nuclear medicine, and ultrasound. This position demands not only technical proficiency but also the ability to lead and mentor a team of radiologic technologists.

Key Responsibilities

Patient Interaction
* Execute prescribed imaging procedures in accordance with established protocols, ensuring quality patient care across all demographics. Generate high-quality images while maintaining meticulous records. Collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals and uphold sterile practices.

Team Leadership
* Provide direction and support to fulfill the needs of patients and staff, manage daily operations within the assigned imaging modality, and optimize workflow processes. Oversee inventory management, scheduling, and personnel administration.

Professional Development
* Remain current on anatomical knowledge, physiological principles, radiation safety, and radiographic technology. Ensure adherence to safety protocols, infection control measures, and patient education initiatives.

Regulatory Compliance
* Comply with all relevant regulatory standards and organizational policies, maintain necessary certifications and licenses, and implement safety measures to ensure a secure environment for all stakeholders. Promptly report any incidents and uphold the highest standards of professional ethics.

Qualifications

Educational Background
Associate of Applied Science degree in Radiological Technology - Required
Bachelor's degree in Radiology or a related field - Preferred

Certifications & Licenses
Lead Technologist 1: Arizona Department of Health Radiologic Technologist license, BLS (American Heart Association) - Required
Lead Technologist 2: Current registry as a Radiologic Technologist and certification in CT or Mammography, BLS (American Heart Association) - Required
Lead Technologist 3: Current registry in MRI, ARRT and/or Interventional Radiology ARRT, BLS (American Heart Association) - Required
Lead Technologist 4: ARDMS certification for Ultrasound, CNMT for Nuclear Medicine, BLS (American Heart Association) - Required
Lead Ultrasound Technologist: RVT - Preferred

Experience Requirements
Lead Technologist 1: Minimum one year of experience in Diagnostic Radiology - Preferred
Lead Technologist 2: Minimum one year of experience in Diagnostic Radiology and/or a specialized modality such as CT or Mammography - Preferred
Lead Technologist 3: Five years of experience as a general radiographer or six months as a certified specialist - Preferred
Lead Technologist 4: Three years of experience for CNMT - Preferred
