Job Summary:

This is a unique opportunity to join our team as a Network Operations Manager. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for managing the installation, configuration, and ongoing maintenance of all servers, storage, and data centers firm-wide. You will also oversee the Network Operations team, ensuring the smooth operation of our IT infrastructure and services.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage the installation, configuration, and maintenance of all servers, storage, and data centers firm-wide
Oversee the Network Operations team, ensuring the smooth operation of our IT infrastructure and services
Develop and implement standard operating procedures and best practices for the team
Collaborate with the Network Architecture & Engineering and Communications teams to ensure seamless integration of IT services
Provide expertise and engineering support to the team as needed
Ensure the creation and maintenance of all written documentation, including system manuals and documentation of modifications and upgrades

Requirements:

5+ years of progressive IT experience, including experience in a multi-office environment
Solid experience with servers, VMWare, and data centers
Experience with NetApp storage and Cisco server platforms
Experience managing vendor relationships
Project management experience
Ability to work extended and/or weekend hours, as required
Ability to travel, as required

Preferred:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent education and experience
Prior law firm or professional services experience
ITIL Foundations Certification
Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification

Experience and/or certifications in the following:
Large scale data center designs, including servers (HP/Cisco), virtualization (VMWare), storage NetApp), and BCP/DR
Solarwinds monitoring services
Network services - Active Directory, (GPO) Policies, RFS/DFS and replication
Supervisory experience

Competencies:
Ability to work independently and to make sound judgments regarding the best course of action to resolve problems
Ability and judgment to understand when status updates and user communications are appropriate and provide them to the appropriate individuals or distribution list, even and especially during times of crisis
Make solid technical decision for the engineering team, as required
Ability to work effectively under pressure, set priorities, handle multiple projects concurrently and in a timely manner
Excellent problem-solving, analytical and evaluative skills
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to manage, counsel, mentor and supervise others, including contractors and vendors
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to meet deadlines, to conduct and direct research into IS issues and products, and to take initiative in the development and completion of projects
Strong project management, organizational and time management skills. Proficiency in advocating ideas to business leaders
Expert consultative skills. Expert strategic thinking skills. Expert ability to synthesize facts, trends and key issues in complex situations
