Opportunity Overview:
We are in search of skilled sales professionals capable of cultivating accounts within the heavy industrial and energy sectors, with a strong potential for repeat business. Barnhart stands as one of the largest domestic providers of heavy lifting and transportation services in America, employing over 1,500 individuals across more than 55 locations nationwide. Our team is supported by a comprehensive operational staff, including the largest assembly of engineers and industry specialists dedicated to your success. We offer transportation and lifting services to facilitate the movement of large components via road, rail, and water, and we operate within various industrial and energy facilities to remove and replace major machinery requiring specialized tools, skills, and innovative solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Formulate strategies and tactics to penetrate targeted accounts.
  • Develop and implement an annual sales plan with clear goals and objectives.
  • Identify and qualify warm leads.
  • Conduct discovery meetings with both existing and prospective clients to identify their needs.
  • Design and present tailored solutions and proposals to decision-makers.
  • Estimate and prepare customized proposals based on potential solutions.
  • Close sales by emphasizing value and addressing objections.
  • Collaborate with our Operations team for front-end project development.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated success in business development, including prospecting and closing profitable contracts.
  • Proficient in identifying, engaging, and building relationships with decision-makers in a complex sales environment, comfortable interacting with all levels from field personnel to executives.
  • Mechanically inclined with a proven track record in rigging, lifting, fabrication, maintenance, or transportation execution.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience with CRM tools and management reporting software.
Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.

Experience: Three to five years of experience, preferably in industrial sales, construction, manufacturing, or professional services, along with the ability to be a self-motivated and proactive sales professional.
