About You

The ideal candidate will engage in a range of automation engineering tasks, including the planning, design, and modification of fixtures, tools, and manufacturing processes to meet departmental standards. You will be responsible for resolving engineering challenges associated with the production of parts or products.



Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot manufacturing processes and equipment across varying complexities (including robotics, automation, and manual stations).
  • Lead and implement enhancements to processes and equipment, updating operator instructions accordingly.
  • Document and address root causes and corrective actions to mitigate future issues.
  • Establish manufacturing standards for equipment and processes within the department.
  • Engineer modifications for tools, fixtures, and gauging. Design and implement quality improvement systems and error-proofing measures.
  • Maintain and revise tooling drawings utilizing SolidWorks.
  • Train employees on equipment and processes effectively.
  • Develop, design, and specify process equipment, including necessary programming changes to uphold production standards.
  • Coordinate daily issues and project work with maintenance staff regarding equipment receipt, repair, and installation.
  • Provide management with engineering drawings for new and proposed projects, plant layouts, and equipment modifications.
  • Conduct time studies to continuously enhance product cost standards, calculating savings and making recommendations based on findings.
  • Assume additional related responsibilities as required.



Specifications

A Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field is preferred.

2+ years of hands-on experience in troubleshooting robotic systems.

2+ years of experience with Siemens PLCs.
