Responsibilities:

**Business Development:**

* Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to target a diverse and profitable portfolio of businesses
* Actively prospect, qualify, present, and close new business with target clients
* Navigate accounts at various levels to create opportunities with target organizations and properties
* Create timely and accurately priced client recommendations, proposals, and contracts that meet each client's objectives
* Drive the sales process from initial contact through strategy, proposal, presentation, and successful conclusion of new business opportunities
* Exercise creativity and independent judgment in developing and evaluating sales and marketing strategies in selling a broad portfolio of services within a defined market
* Identify needs and client business objectives to develop customer-specific solutions for those needs
* Meet or exceed established new sales budgets
* Ensure new customer accounts are successfully transitioned to the Operations Team
* Develop and nurture relationships with existing and potential customers
* Take an active role representing the company in professional groups/associations that foster new relationships
* Assist in the creation and refinement of existing and new marketing materials

**Administrative / Other:**

* Daily upkeep of customer database and all sales tracking information in specified systems
* Daily upkeep of individual monthly forecast planner
* Responsible for utilizing standard contract procedures, timely signup, filing, and billing setup
* Serve as the liaison between the customer and branch team during the client onboarding process
* Miscellaneous projects, as required

Minimum Qualifications & Specific Skills:

* Minimum 2 years' experience in the landscaping industry with a B2B sales background
* Demonstrated ability to develop new leads and accurately estimate landscaping maintenance proposals
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
* Very strong organizational and planning skills; ability to manage changing priorities and workflow
* A dedication to learning and improving company standards, procedures, and goals
* Exercises good judgment and is accountable
* Willingness to work long hours, including overtime and weekends, and assist with other projects, as required
* Committed to continual skill enhancement for top-level industry performance
* Cost-conscious and effective at cost control
* Good judgment as related to all job functions, eye for detail, strong work ethic, punctual, and ethics
* Proficient in Microsoft Office
* High school diploma
* A college degree in a related field is a plus
* Possess a valid Florida driver's license
* Possess pertinent physical requirements commensurate with the job
