B.L. Harbert International is looking for a dedicated Human Resources Assistant to join our International Group. This role is essential in providing support to the Human Resources department, focusing on various HR functions and policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain confidential employee records, including personal and medical files.
- Sort and file daily correspondence and mail efficiently.
- Perform extensive data entry of employee information into the HR database (UltiPro) and Excel spreadsheets on a daily basis.
- Assist in tracking and maintaining accurate records of employee leave, including sick days and absences.
- Provide assistance in preparing employment verification letters as required.
- Support the monthly payroll preparation process.
- Contribute to the generation of various HR reports.
- Help schedule appointments with investigators regarding security clearances.
- Carry out additional duties as assigned by Human Resources Management.
- A degree in Human Resources, a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Capacity to thrive under pressure and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
- Flexibility to prioritize and manage various tasks throughout the day.
To fulfill the responsibilities of this position, the employee must:
- Be capable of repetitive hand movements, reaching, and working overhead.
- Be able to stoop, bend, walk, kneel, crouch, and crawl as necessary.
- Lift, carry, and/or move up to 25 lbs. of materials such as paper and files.
- Be able to sit for extended periods, with occasional standing required.
- Possess the manual dexterity needed to operate office equipment and perform specialized tasks.
- Maintain a high level of concentration in a busy office setting.
The employee must be able to work effectively in an office environment.
