Position Summary
The Senior Revenue Accountant will report directly to the Director of Revenue Accounting and will play a crucial role in the revenue accounting and closing processes. We seek a professional eager to enhance controls, streamline processes, and contribute to the advancement of Druva's accounting function.

This position involves collaboration with various teams to ensure the timely and precise recording and reporting of revenue. The ideal candidate will possess experience with complex revenue transactions, multiple element arrangements, and will be capable of strategic thinking at a process level while managing intricate details.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct contract analysis and apply critical thinking to ensure accurate revenue recognition in line with company policies and ASC 606 standards.
  • Assist in ASC 606 revenue accounting analyses, including Standalone Selling Price analysis, Contract Combination assessments, Contract Modification evaluations, and Material Right assessments.
  • Prepare and update accounting policy memos, including research on technical accounting topics.
  • Execute month-end revenue close activities: prepare journal entries, reconciliations, flux analyses, and related reporting and disclosures.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development and enhancement of systems and operational processes to enable scalability and support new business initiatives.
  • Collaborate with external auditors to provide necessary support for quarterly reviews and annual audits.
  • Assist in developing and documenting robust controls and procedures to support narratives and risk control matrices.
  • Support ad-hoc accounting projects and analyses, including data analysis, management reporting, and process efficiency improvements.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of relevant experience in revenue accounting.
  • In-depth technical knowledge of ASC 606.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across all organizational levels.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical capabilities.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Proficient in MS Office software, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • A self-starter and team player, capable of thriving in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CPA certification.
  • A blend of industry and Big 4 experience.
  • Experience with high-growth companies, particularly in the Software or SaaS sectors.
  • Strong background in financial systems, with NetSuite experience being a plus.

Compensation and Benefits:
The salary range for this position is projected to be between $119,000 and $138,333 per year, with variations based on individual factors such as market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package may also include additional incentive opportunities, such as discretionary annual bonuses or commissions, and equity options.
