About Our Team:
Our team is responsible for executing month-end and quarter-end closing activities, which include account reconciliations and journal entries. We prepare comprehensive deal packages to ensure precise revenue recognition in alignment with ASC 606 standards.
We document and uphold relevant policies and procedures, offer revenue accounting support to cross-functional teams, and conduct thorough analyses to guarantee the accuracy of financial statements and disclosures.
Our team fosters strong collaborative relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, emphasizing efficiency and enhanced service levels. We also maintain a solid understanding of the company's products and programs, addressing ad-hoc requests as necessary.Key Responsibilities:
Execute month-end and quarter-end closing processes, which involve preparing account reconciliations and posting journal entries for revenue-related and contra revenue accounts.
Prepare comprehensive deal packages, including revenue allocations, agreement reviews, and conclusions regarding the appropriateness of revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606.
Conduct additional analyses as required to ensure the accuracy of revenue reflected in our financial statements and disclosures.Document and maintain pertinent policies and operational procedures.
Establish strong collaborative working relationships with internal and external teams, focusing on driving efficiencies and enhancing service levels.
Provide revenue accounting guidance to Deal Desk, Product, and other cross-functional teams.Maintain a thorough understanding of the company's products and programs (both new and existing) concerning their impact on revenue transactions and the application of ASC 606.
Address ad-hoc requests as needed.Required Qualifications:
This is a fully in-office position.
A Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent) in Accounting or Finance is required, with an advanced degree preferred.
A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience is necessary. Experience with Big 4 accounting firms is preferred but not mandatory.
Prior experience in reviewing agreements for ASC 606 concepts and providing guidance to external parties is strongly preferred but not required.
Advanced Excel skills (e.g., complex formulas, pivot tables) are essential.
Ability to work towards operational targets that directly impact departmental outcomes.
Capability to work independently on larger, moderately complex projects and assignments.
Ability to set objectives for one's job area to align with project and assignment goals.
Capacity to recommend adjustments or enhancements in systems and processes to resolve issues or improve job area effectiveness.
Ability to solve problems by leveraging prior experience and analyzing issues.Strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities and projects effectively, ensuring adherence to deadlines.
Ability to prioritize responsibilities effectively to meet deadlines.
Capacity to identify problems, gather data, draw valid conclusions, and present information effectively to managers, peers, and clients.
Ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse range of individuals, demonstrating strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
CPA (or equivalent) is preferred but not required.
