Position: Production Planner
Location: Stratford, CT

Compensation: $33-38 per hour
Role Summary:
As a Production Planner, you will be responsible for developing, managing, and optimizing production schedules to ensure a seamless flow of materials in alignment with production needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Formulate and oversee production timelines while coordinating with material requirements to guarantee timely availability of approved materials.
- Facilitate the transfer of materials between storage and production areas efficiently.
- Provide management with updates on work progress, material status, and any potential production challenges to ensure necessary resources are available.
- Organize personnel and equipment schedules, verify material supply and demand, and prepare work orders or purchase requests based on master production schedules and inventory needs.
- Collaborate with various departments including quality assurance, manufacturing, purchasing, engineering, and inventory control to ensure smooth operations.
- Manage the logistics of parts movement through stock transfers and shipping requests.
Qualifications:
Proficient in Excel, Access, and Outlook; SAP experience is preferred.
Discretion and Judgment:
Utilize discretion and judgment to complete tasks of limited scope, with ongoing review throughout the assignment.
Impact:
Your decisions will directly influence schedules and operational programs.
Knowledge Requirements:
Employ relevant principles and concepts to complete assignments, demonstrating a foundational understanding of industry practices.
Communication:
Engage primarily with your immediate supervisor and colleagues within your department.

Education:
A Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience is required.
