Production Scheduling Specialist

Position Summary:
As a Production Scheduling Specialist, you will be responsible for the meticulous planning, preparation, issuance, and management of production schedules. Your role will involve coordinating with material requirements to ensure a seamless flow of approved materials, precisely timed to meet production needs.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Oversee the movement of materials between the warehouse and production areas to maintain efficiency.
2. Provide management with updates on work in progress, material availability, and any potential production challenges to ensure that personnel, equipment, materials, and services are adequately supplied.
3. Schedule equipment and personnel effectively, confirming material supply and demand. Prepare work orders or purchase requests for the production or procurement of components based on a master production schedule, shop load, and inventory needs.
Collaboration:
Work closely with various departments including quality assurance, manufacturing, purchasing, engineering, inventory control, and contracts administration. You will also be responsible for scheduling and expediting the movement of parts through move orders, stock transfers, and shipping requests.
Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a relevant field, or equivalent experience and education. Proficiency in Excel, Access, and Outlook is essential, with SAP experience preferred.
