About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Industrial Engineering Intern to join our team at Lockheed Martin Corporation. As an Industrial Engineering Intern, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, supporting operations and manufacturing teams in analyzing and improving industrial engineering processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze and develop corrective actions for performance within product centers or build of the aircraft
  • Perform process observations to better learn blades manufacturing and develop recommendations for cost reduction initiatives
  • Coordinate with Operations and Quality leadership and support teams to assist with the tracking of cost reduction projects, analyze labor data and assess labor practices
  • Assist in the development and updating of build plans, schedules, and shop floor visual aids for operations and quality
  • Present project work to IE and Operations Management, including change recommendations
Requirements
  • Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Quality, Finance, Industrial Engineering or related fields
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications, including proficiency in Excel and Power Point
  • Familiar with Lean manufacturing principles (Lean Six Sigma, 5S, process improvement)
  • Must be a US Citizen
Desired Skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills coupled with being a team player
  • Familiar with Tableau
  • Strong organizational skills including attention to detail
