This role presents a unique opportunity for individuals aiming to build a successful career within a prestigious organization.

The successful candidate will be required to reside in Denver or within a daily commutable distance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactively seek new business opportunities, respond to requests for proposals (RFPs), and collaborate with existing clients and hotel partners to design, propose, and finalize event programs.
  • Address incoming inquiries for group business promptly, ensuring responses are provided within 24 hours.
  • Create innovative proposals, contracts, and site inspection materials tailored to specific client needs and RFPs.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with local vendors, including activity providers, restaurants, and venue operators.
  • Contribute to the development and execution of the annual sales strategy, outlining revenue targets and objectives as set by the Executive Team.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients across various sectors, including corporate, associations, and incentive groups.
  • Lead site inspections as required and effectively upsell RMC services to clients.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of RMC's offerings, including pricing structures and event themes.
  • Demonstrate exceptional client relationship management skills to foster repeat business.

Qualifications:

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in business development or sales, preferably within the Destination Management or hospitality sectors.
  • Bachelor's degree in business management, marketing, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with excellent interpersonal and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient in computer applications, particularly Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated negotiation skills are essential.
