We are seeking a Senior Lighting Technician to join our team.

Compensation for this position ranges from $70,000 to $80,000.

We are looking for seasoned professionals with extensive experience in live event production, particularly those well-versed in stage and event lighting systems for corporate functions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Promote and embody the mission of our organization to clients and team members.
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Engage effectively with both sales and operational teams.
  • Interact with clients on-site in the absence of an Account Executive or Production Manager.
  • Prepare, specify, and coordinate necessary equipment for events.
  • Contribute to maintaining INSPIRE's quality standards and profitability.
  • Exhibit strong organizational skills and accountability in the role.
  • Support the company’s initiatives for a safe and environmentally friendly workplace.
  • Manage equipment handling, setup, operation, and breakdown.
  • Perform AV technical duties as necessary.
  • Coordinate show requirements and labor on-site.
  • Oversee warehouse and equipment responsibilities.
  • Educate staff on the proper use and maintenance of lighting equipment.
  • Execute additional tasks as assigned.

Required Experience, Skills, & Qualities:

  • 3-5+ years of experience in setting up and operating large-scale lighting systems.
  • Proficient in lighting fixture setup, electrical and dimmer controls, and lighting console programming. Familiarity with Elation and Obsidian boards is preferred.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of electrical systems and design.
  • Understanding of safety measures to prevent electrical hazards.
  • Experience with rigging techniques and weight calculations for equipment.
  • Strong computer skills, with CAD or Vectorworks experience being advantageous.
  • General knowledge of audio, lighting, rigging, and staging.
  • Familiarity with R2 Rental Management Software.

Other Qualifications:

  • Degree in Specialized Technician or a related field with a focus on electricity or electronics, along with over 5 years of proven experience.
  • Exceptional customer service skills demonstrated through effective client interactions.
  • Maintain a professional appearance in line with company standards.
  • Must possess a clean driving record.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
