Career Opportunity: We are seeking a dedicated Event Sales Manager or Senior Event Sales Manager (DOE) who is eager to grow their career within our esteemed organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactively identify and respond to Requests for Proposals (RFPs), collaborating with existing clients and hotel partners to design, propose, and finalize event programs.
  • Ensure timely responses to incoming inquiries for group business, aiming for a 24-hour turnaround.
  • Create innovative proposals, contracts, and site inspection materials tailored to specific client needs and RFP requirements.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with local vendors, including activity providers, restaurants, and venue operators.
  • Contribute to the development and execution of the annual sales strategy, aligning with revenue goals set by the Executive Team.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients across various sectors, including corporate, associations, and incentive groups.
  • Lead site inspections as the primary sales representative when required.
  • Promote RMC services to clients, enhancing their experience and value.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of RMC's offerings, including pricing structures and themed events.
  • Demonstrate exceptional client relationship management skills to foster repeat business.

Qualifications:

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in business development or sales, preferably within the Destination Management or hospitality sectors.
  • Bachelor's degree in business management, marketing, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, coupled with excellent interpersonal and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient in computer applications, particularly Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively, meeting deadlines while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated negotiation skills and a strong background in client relations.
