Job Summary
Rancho Bernardo Inn, a highly acclaimed destination resort, is seeking a skilled Front Desk Agent to provide exceptional guest service and create memorable experiences for our valued customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Attend to arriving and departing guests, ensuring a smooth check-in and check-out process.
- Handle special requests and resolve guest complaints in a professional and sincere manner.
- Process arrivals, assign rooms, and complete group resume reviews.
- Block room assignments and reservations, and pre-assign VIPs, comp rooms, and special attention guests.
- Process adjustments and check-outs, and handle cash, credit, and check cashing transactions.
- Familiarize yourself with hotel information, including current rate structures, sales strategies, and local services and attractions.
- Develop and maintain a working knowledge of the local area to provide guests with information on location, cost, and hours of operation of local services and points of interest.
- Assist with PBX and Reservations functions as needed.
- Satisfactorily resolve guests' complaints and problems, referring to Manager on Duty and/or Front Desk Manager as needed.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- English fluency required.
- Minimum one year experience in customer service position.
- Previous hotel experience preferred.
- Strong basic math skills required.
- Some computer experience required.
- Knowledge of currently accepted business telephone etiquette required.
