Key Responsibilities

  • Attend to arriving and departing guests, ensuring a smooth check-in and check-out process.
  • Handle special requests and resolve guest complaints in a professional and sincere manner.
  • Process arrivals, assign rooms, and complete group resume reviews.
  • Block room assignments and reservations, and pre-assign VIPs, comp rooms, and special attention guests.
  • Process adjustments and check-outs, and handle cash, credit, and check cashing transactions.
  • Familiarize yourself with hotel information, including current rate structures, sales strategies, and local services and attractions.
  • Develop and maintain a working knowledge of the local area to provide guests with information on location, cost, and hours of operation of local services and points of interest.
  • Assist with PBX and Reservations functions as needed.
  • Satisfactorily resolve guests' complaints and problems, referring to Manager on Duty and/or Front Desk Manager as needed.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • English fluency required.
  • Minimum one year experience in customer service position.
  • Previous hotel experience preferred.
  • Strong basic math skills required.
  • Some computer experience required.
  • Knowledge of currently accepted business telephone etiquette required.
