Guest Service Representative

As a Guest Service Representative at The Westin San Diego Gaslamp Quarter, you will be responsible for providing exceptional guest experiences through efficient and personalized service. This role involves organizing and confirming guest check-ins and check-outs, processing room reservations and requests, and ensuring seamless communication with guests and colleagues.
Key Responsibilities- Organize and confirm guest check-ins and check-outs, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
- Process room reservations, requests, and changes, and communicate with guests and colleagues as needed
- Secure payment and verify billing, and activate and file room keys
- Process guest requests and relay messages, and maintain accurate records
- Identify and explain room features to guests, and provide directions and information on property amenities and services
- Follow up on outstanding requests and resolve issues, and review daily reports and logs
- Complete designated cashier and closing reports, and count and secure bank at the beginning and end of shift
- Process all payment types, adjustment vouchers, paid-outs, and miscellaneous charges, and provide change
- Notify Loss Prevention/Security of any guest reports of theft, and maintain confidentiality of proprietary information
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and provide exceptional guest service
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with colleagues and guests
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks, with attention to detail and accuracy
- Basic math skills and ability to handle cash and credit transactions
- Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods, and move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds
