Job Summary:

Hinderer Motor Company is in search of a dedicated HR Generalist to join our team. In this position, you will be responsible for managing employee benefits, facilitating recruitment and onboarding processes, and fostering employee relations within a collaborative setting. The HR Generalist will execute responsibilities and assist the HR team in various functional areas, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, training, performance management, benefits administration, and policy enforcement.

This position will require dedicating up to 40% of your time to managing employee benefits.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Benefits Administration:
    • Oversee the management of employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave policies.
    • Assist employees with inquiries related to benefits and claims.
    • Ensure adherence to relevant laws and regulations concerning benefits.
  • Recruitment & Onboarding:
    • Support and manage the complete recruitment lifecycle, from job postings to screening, interviewing, and hiring.
    • Conduct orientations for new employees and oversee the onboarding process to ensure a seamless transition.
  • Employee Relations:
    • Act as a point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns.
    • Address employee relations matters, including work complaints or harassment claims.
    • Conduct investigations when employee grievances are raised.
  • Performance Management:
    • Assist in the performance review process, ensuring that evaluations are conducted fairly and consistently.
  • HR Projects:
    • Engage in HR projects and initiatives, such as employee engagement programs and diversity efforts.
    • Support organizational changes and restructuring initiatives.
    • Contribute to the formulation and execution of HR strategies aligned with overall business objectives.
  • Policy Implementation & Compliance:
    • Implement HR policies and procedures effectively.
    • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
    • Maintain and update employee records and HR databases.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is preferred.
  • 3+ years of HR experience in a generalist or benefits-focused role.

Skills:

  • Strong understanding of HR principles and practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Ability to manage sensitive information with discretion.
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution capabilities.
  • Proficiency in HRIS and MS Office Suite.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
