The compensation package ranges from $190,000 to $215,000 plus bonuses.

The Senior Director of Technology Sourcing will be instrumental in establishing, developing, and overseeing the IT procurement operations within Phaxis. This position entails constructing the procurement frameworks and systems from inception, emphasizing the enhancement of the procure-to-pay (P2P) cycle. The ideal candidate will manage both the strategic and operational facets of IT procurement, ensuring efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and alignment with the organization's technological and financial objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership and Development:

  • Formulate and execute a comprehensive IT procurement strategy that is in harmony with the organization’s overarching goals.
  • Establish and develop the IT procurement division, encompassing processes, systems, and team architecture, to accommodate the organization’s growth and requirements.
  • Engage with senior management to delineate procurement priorities and synchronize strategies with broader organizational objectives.

Procurement Management:

  • Initiate and supervise the complete IT procurement workflow, including requisition, sourcing, negotiation, contracting, and payment.
  • Identify and adopt best practices in procurement to refine the P2P process and boost efficiency.
  • Forge and sustain relationships with essential technology vendors and suppliers to secure advantageous terms and conditions.

Vendor and Contract Management:

  • Negotiate and oversee contracts to guarantee optimal terms and mitigate risks.
  • Assess and monitor vendor performance, ensuring adherence to contractual obligations and addressing any issues that may arise.
  • Establish and uphold standards for vendor selection and performance assessment.

Process Optimization and System Development:

  • Design and implement effective P2P processes and systems tailored to the organization’s specific needs.
  • Collaborate closely with IT, finance, and other departments to ensure the successful integration and execution of procurement processes.
  • Leverage technology and data analytics to drive efficiencies, enhance procurement performance, and provide actionable insights.

Compliance and Risk Management:

  • Ensure that all procurement activities adhere to company policies, industry regulations, and legal requirements.
  • Develop and implement procurement policies and procedures to manage risk and ensure transparency and accountability.

Qualifications:

  • Over 10 years of experience in IT procurement, with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership capacity overseeing procurement and P2P processes.
  • Demonstrated experience in establishing and developing procurement functions, including processes, systems, and team structures.
  • In-depth knowledge of procurement best practices, contract management, and vendor relationship management.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Proficiency with procurement software and systems (e.g., ERP systems, eProcurement tools).
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the capability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and senior executives.
  • Proven ability to drive process improvements, manage change, and cultivate new capabilities.
