SUMMARY :


The Procurement Strategy Manager is responsible for the effective execution of sourcing strategies and methodologies within the organization. This role is pivotal in managing the Sourcing team to meet stakeholder demands across various departments while aligning with the overarching business goals.

Utilizing demand management techniques, the manager will oversee the tracking of business unit requirements, engage in supplier relations, address external spending influences, and streamline procurement processes to eliminate inefficiencies.

This position involves executing Request for Proposals (RFPs), distributing procurement tasks among Sourcing personnel, and driving performance metrics to evaluate the team's achievements. The manager will serve as a key escalation point for stakeholders and participate in the recruitment and development of Sourcing staff.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :


- Lead the Sourcing team in managing significant procurement requests using RFP strategies for assigned goods and services.

- Identify and implement approved purchasing strategies to ensure maximum value from procurement processes.

- Drive the strategic vision for the Sourcing team, including the implementation and management of goals related to sourcing activities.

- Monitor compliance with standards, policies, and procedures, contributing to the development of RFP guidelines.

- Align financial planning for Sourcing with upper management.

- Conduct supplier performance evaluations to ensure timely and quality delivery of products and services.

- Manage critical relationships with external suppliers and internal stakeholders, providing guidance and support as needed.

- Collaborate with legal teams on contractual matters and prepare necessary documentation for audits.

- Foster a professional environment that encourages individual growth and team collaboration.

- Delegate tasks effectively and guide the team to meet established objectives.

- Achieve cost savings and value creation through strategic sourcing initiatives.


QUALIFICATIONS :


- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or a related field is preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

- A minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in commercial sourcing, including at least 5 years in a management role.

- Strong knowledge of procurement processes, contract negotiations, and supplier management.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across various levels of the organization.

- Proficient in project management, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

- Familiarity with procurement software and ERP systems is advantageous.
