Local LA Initiative

Legends is thrilled to introduce a new external catering and events service in the LA area. This venture aims to provide meticulously crafted and distinctive catering options for events throughout the greater LA region and beyond. We prioritize authentic cuisine prepared with locally sourced ingredients, ensuring that every event is executed to perfection.

Our mission is to offer premium local fare for various occasions, including parties, fundraisers, and celebrations. We are passionate about supporting local businesses, promoting local dining, and creating memorable experiences as a leading culinary and events team.

The Role

The Catering Server plays a crucial role in delivering and serving food and beverage items to clients at catered events. This position requires a friendly, courteous demeanor and a commitment to guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set tables according to event specifications.
  • Transport necessary equipment and beverages to event locations.
  • Arrange food and beverages on buffet tables.
  • Serve food and drinks to guests in a polite and efficient manner.
  • Clear dining areas discreetly after meals.
  • Return used items to the appropriate dishwashing stations.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in work areas.
  • Attend mandatory training sessions.
  • Complete assigned side tasks and general cleaning duties.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to work flexible hours, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in the food and beverage industry.
  • Proficient in plate service and capable of carrying multiple plates simultaneously.
  • Maintain high standards of personal hygiene and grooming.
  • Ability to work independently or collaboratively to execute events.
  • Strong desire to exceed guest expectations.
  • Effective listening skills and ability to follow directions.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of food and beverage service standards and etiquette.
  • Familiarity with table settings for formal dining.
  • Proficient in English for communication with management and guests.
  • Ability to remember and articulate menu options.
  • Capability to lift and transport up to 50 lbs regularly.
  • Skill in discreetly clearing plates from guests.
  • Ability to carry trays of beverages over distances.
