Job Description

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our Global Events Marketing team as an Event Planning Intern. The successful candidate will assist in the planning and execution of various events and projects, providing support to the team and contributing to the success of Sony Pictures Entertainment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the planning, coordination, and execution of upcoming events and projects
  • Assist with logistical and creative aspects, including budget tracking, venue selection, catering, and invitations
  • Conduct research on venues, restaurants, vendors, and event spaces in the Los Angeles area and beyond
  • Creation of event schedules, run of show documents, RSVP tracking, and checklist management
  • Communicate with internal departments to ensure up-to-date information on upcoming events
  • Book travel for domestic and international events as necessary
  • Assist with contract routing, payments, and approval forms
  • Database maintenance and project management
  • Tracking of the events calendar and ensuring updates are made regularly
  • Research and stay up-to-date on new and trendy restaurants and venues in the Los Angeles area
  • Assist with the curation, purchasing, and distribution of approved client gifts
  • Provide on-site event support as needed

Requirements:

  • Enrolled in an accredited degree program for the entire duration of the internship
  • Available for the full 12-week session
  • Organization and attention to detail are essential
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Professionalism and excellent communication skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and Google Drive is a plus

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with event planning software and tools
  • Knowledge of the virtual and digital event spaces
  • Understanding of the entertainment industry and Sony Pictures Entertainment's business
