Job Description

Job Summary:

The Sony Pictures Global Events Marketing team is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to support the planning and execution of various events and projects. As a Global Events Marketing Intern, you will assist in coordinating logistics, researching venues, and communicating with internal departments to ensure successful events.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the planning and coordination of events, including budget tracking, venue selection, and catering/menu selection
  • Assist with research of venues, restaurants, vendors, and event spaces across the Los Angeles area and other domestic/international locations
  • Creation of event schedules, run of show documents, RSVP tracking, and checklist management
  • Communicate with internal departments to ensure up-to-date information on upcoming events
  • Book travel for domestic and international events, conventions, and conferences as necessary
  • Assist with the routing of contracts, payments, and approval forms
  • Database maintenance and designated project management
  • Tracking of the events calendar and ensuring updates are made on a regular basis
  • Keeping up with new and trendy restaurants and venues in the greater Los Angeles area
  • Assist with the curation, purchasing, and distributing of approved client gifts
  • Provide on-site event support as needed

Requirements:

  • Enrolled in an accredited degree program for the entire duration of the internship
  • Available for the full 12-week session
  • Organization and attention to detail are essential
  • Professionalism and excellent communication skills are required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google Drive, and MS Office 365 Suite
  • Experience with Photoshop and InDesign is a plus
  • Understanding of virtual and digital event spaces is a plus
