Beacon Hill Technologies is seeking a dedicated IT Support Specialist to enhance our dynamic Information Technology team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing equipment provisioning, overseeing account management, and facilitating the asset assignment process, among other critical tasks, all while adhering to established standards and protocols. You will also have the opportunity to engage in special projects as assigned by IT leadership and will be expected to evaluate current systems, providing insightful recommendations for enhancements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provisioning, maintaining, packaging, shipping, and configuring IT equipment.
  • Creating accounts and setting up systems.
  • Testing and re-imaging all company PCs and laptops.
  • Recommending upgrades, patches, and new software and hardware solutions.
  • Setting up and supporting peripherals such as printers and scanners.
  • Updating asset statuses within the asset management system.
  • Maintaining laptop images and software packages.
  • Providing end-user training as necessary.
  • Conducting advanced troubleshooting using diagnostic techniques and relevant inquiries.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

  • 1-3+ years of advanced experience with computer hardware.
  • Resourceful and proactive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with desktop imaging processes.
  • Willingness to provide 24/7 support as needed.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems and applications, particularly Windows 10 and Microsoft Office.
  • Proficient in troubleshooting IT hardware, including workstations, monitors, printers, laptops, and mobile devices.
  • Exemplary customer service skills, including experience with VIP support.
  • Strong organizational capabilities.
  • Professional demeanor with a focus on punctuality, attendance, and reliability.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Reliable transportation is essential.

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with Samanage by SolarWinds ticketing system.
  • Experience with Microsoft Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI).
  • Knowledge of supporting iGel thin clients.
  • Experience with Manage Engine for remote assistance.
  • Office 365 administration experience.

Language Proficiency

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Adept at reading, analyzing, and interpreting technical reports and documentation.
