About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Director - Identity and Access Management to join our team at Cummins, Inc. in Columbus, IN. This is a critical role that requires a strong leader with expertise in identity and access management, cybersecurity, and risk management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Identity and Access Management Strategies: Develop and implement comprehensive identity and access management strategies to ensure the security and operational resilience of Cummins.
  • Lead the Identity and Access Management Team: Lead a team of technical identity experts to design, build, and integrate on-premise and cloud-based access management solutions.
  • Design Secure Identity and Access Management Solutions: Design secure identity and access management solutions with compliance built into components.
  • Partner with IT Operations: Partner with IT Operations on the execution of the identity and access management roadmap and deliver on a seamless transition from design to implementation to run.
  • Collaborate with the Cyber Security Team: Collaborate with the broader Cyber Security Team on integration of authentication infrastructure with endpoint solutions while adhering to security policies.
  • Develop and Publish Access Management Engineering Standards and Procedures: Develop and publish access management engineering standards and procedures.
  • Monitor Emerging Identity and Access Management Technologies: Monitor emerging identity and access management technologies, analyze, determine value, and implement when relevant.
Requirements
  • Experience in Identity and Access Management: Proven track record in the rationalization and design of an IAM ecosystem, including Cloud identity, non-employee identity, consumer/customer identity, Azure Active Directory, Privileged Access Management, Multi-Factor Authentication, Single Sign-On, and other IAM capabilities.
  • Strong Technical Skills: Strong working and architectural knowledge of all aspects of Microsoft AD, including Group Policy, user account design and management, and thorough understanding of upgrading Active Directory schema and raising domain functional levels.
  • Leadership and Communication Skills: Demonstrated breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities, including the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, and oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact.
  • Business Acumen: Strong business insight, customer focus, and ability to drive vision and purpose.
