Primary Responsibilities

Oversee multi-state Workers Compensation (WC) claims, ensuring efficiency in processing, tracking, reporting, and updating WC information within the claims database and with insurance providers throughout the claims lifecycle. Deliver outstanding customer service in all aspects of the role.

Key Duties

  • Conduct extensive data entry of work-related claims and treatment information into the WC application and database.
  • Facilitate the flow of information regarding claims to insurance carriers or third-party administrators, collaborating with adjusters as directed by the Director of Safety & Risk.
  • Gather and follow up on accident investigation details and witness statements to validate claims.
  • Maintain current status on all claims, regardless of their nature.
  • Immediately report catastrophic or serious injuries to the Director of Risk Management.
  • Ensure timely closure of claims.
  • Complete additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor accurately and promptly.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Experience in the medical field, as a Workers' Compensation Adjuster, or in claims management on the employer side is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of prioritizing tasks effectively.
  • Strong communication skills to interact with all levels of personnel and external contacts.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of multi-state compensation and OSHA regulations.
