Role Responsibilities:

As an Industrial Engineer, you will:

  • Utilize advanced engineering principles to assess and enhance business operations, focusing on waste reduction.
  • Collaborate with facilities engineers to assist in the planning and establishment of new production facilities.
  • Support manufacturing engineers in developing operational standards and evaluating shop performance against established targets.
  • Create simulations of production processes for upcoming programs, identifying resource limitations, workflow, layout, and scheduling to meet delivery objectives.
  • Analyze data systems to uncover issues and drive improvements.
  • Lead process enhancement initiatives, ensuring successful implementation and sustainability while demonstrating measurable outcomes.
  • Provide occasional support during weekends or off-hours to ensure adherence to production schedules.

Essential Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited institution or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in project management.
  • Background in Quality, Production, Logistics, or a related field.
  • Eligibility to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.

Preferred Skills:
  • Leadership experience with a proven track record of maintaining high-performing teams and resolving conflicts.
  • Familiarity with SAP, Apriso, VECAMS, Tableau, Simio, or similar simulation tools.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, particularly in interactions with Production Operations and Program Offices.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and organize assignments.
  • Experience in production environments or new production program initiatives.
  • Understanding of Earned Value Management (EVMS) principles, including S-Curves, Schedule Performance Index (SPI), and Cost Performance Index (CPI).
  • Capability to develop and present PowerPoint materials to senior leadership.
  • Experience in creating and monitoring metrics related to cost and schedule performance in standard cost and fixed-price models.
  • Preferred to hold a Secret security clearance.

Security Clearance Requirement: This position necessitates a government security clearance; candidates must be U.S. citizens to be considered.

Work Environment: This role is performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility, supporting a full-time schedule. Lockheed Martin offers various flexible work schedules to enhance work-life balance.
