Key Responsibilities:
As a First Line Manager, your daily responsibilities will include:

  • Overseeing technical planning, system integration, and conducting verification and validation, along with cost and risk assessments, ensuring overall system supportability and effectiveness.
  • Managing the recruitment, selection, and training of subordinate employees, along with performance evaluations, work assignments, and recognition or disciplinary actions.
  • Engaging in all facets of functional, programmatic, and technical coordination and execution of the programs supported by your team. This involves managing content across various agile development teams and maintaining regular communication with functional and program leadership.
  • Holding both technical and programmatic responsibilities in conjunction with your managerial duties.

Essential Qualifications:
  • Profound understanding of systems engineering and/or software engineering principles.
  • Demonstrated expertise in systems or software engineering activities, particularly in real-time systems.
  • Proven leadership experience in engineering roles, with a successful track record in managing and executing multidisciplinary programs.
  • In-depth knowledge of the engineering development lifecycle.
  • Exceptional multitasking abilities, strong interpersonal skills, and a consistent history of effective team building.

Preferred Skills:
  • Familiarity with the C6ISR or Spectrum Convergence domain.
  • Experience in fast-paced, agile software development environments.
  • Previous leadership experience in systems engineering or project management.
  • Current Top-Secret Clearance with an investigation completed within the last six years.
  • Experience with proposals or Rough Orders of Magnitude (ROM).

Security Clearance Requirement: This position necessitates a government security clearance; candidates must be U.S. Citizens.

Work Environment: The selected candidate will have a hybrid work schedule, with part of the time spent working remotely and part at a designated facility.
