ROLE OVERVIEW:

The Strategic Creative Project Leader is tasked with overseeing a variety of initiatives across diverse sectors for consumer and local projects.

This role involves prioritizing initiatives, monitoring and communicating project scope, resource allocation planning, and reporting status and risks to senior management.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional project management and communication abilities, ensuring the highest standards are met while coordinating projects across multiple teams.

A foundational understanding of business challenges is essential to deliver effective communication solutions and project execution. The leader will also engage in creative brainstorming sessions to guarantee that final deliverables align with objectives. Additionally, the role requires diligent project management follow-through and timely delivery.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects within a business line.
  • Skill in developing tailored project plans and timelines.
  • Proficient in tracking project scope and hours for efficiency metrics.
  • Capable of communicating priorities, risks, and solutions to senior management.
  • Collaborate with marketing and strategy leaders, as well as Creative Directors, to guide teams in brief development, problem-solving, and prioritization.
  • Foster a collaborative environment among team members.
  • Work with external agencies to manage promotional and marketing initiatives.
  • Assess creative briefs for complex projects and translate them for project teams to guide communication strategies and marketing execution.
  • Collaborate on creative direction with marketing, design, agency, and production teams.
  • Provide constructive feedback during internal creative evaluations.
  • Present concepts to clients, gather feedback, and relay insights to the project team.
  • Review change requests and assess impacts on schedules and budgets, offering alternatives as needed.
  • Manage expectations with departmental teams; negotiate timelines and budgets while ensuring adherence to deadlines.
  • Utilize knowledge of strategy, business needs, design, and production to facilitate effective communication across teams.
  • Minimum of six years of professional experience in a project management capacity within an advertising or creative agency.
  • Proven success in client service within a marketing or creative context.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience managing substantial budgets.
  • Background in project management across various media including print, retail, digital, promotions, and broadcast.
  • Strong understanding of communication channels and their alignment with business needs.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams through idea generation and evaluation.
  • Excellent relationship-building skills and a team-oriented mindset.
  • Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
  • Proficient in risk management.
  • Resourceful and solution-focused.
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Highly organized with strong multitasking capabilities.
  • Ability to build trust and manage expectations effectively.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the creative process, including design and production.
  • Familiarity with project management software such as Workfront.

EDUCATION & CERTIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, advertising, or business, or equivalent professional experience.

WORK SCHEDULE:
Standard business hours with a hybrid work arrangement, requiring in-office attendance on specific days.
