Project Management Assistant

The Civi Group is collaborating with a leading general contractor in Massachusetts to find a qualified Project Management Assistant. This esteemed client operates in the construction sector, focusing on diverse projects including residential, healthcare, academic, commercial, and government sectors. The organization is recognized for its significant annual revenue and commitment to excellence.
The selected Project Management Assistant will be instrumental in the organization and oversight of construction project timelines. By leveraging Microsoft Project and engaging closely with project teams, subcontractors, and consultants, you will ensure that project timelines are established and maintained effectively.
This role is based in the office and will involve occasional visits to project sites within the region. The position reports directly to the Vice President.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and sustain project timelines utilizing Microsoft Project.
- Formulate and assess schedules for both pre-bid and post-award phases to align with client expectations.
- Work in conjunction with external Project Schedule Consultants to oversee deadlines and necessary updates.
- Draft project narratives incorporating insights from managers, superintendents, and estimating teams, with an emphasis on production and budget considerations.
- Participate in schedule review meetings with project teams, estimating personnel, and clients, documenting detailed minutes.
- Support the creation of RFP and proposal timelines for preconstruction and bidding phases.
Skills & Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Project Management, or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 1+ years of experience in a similar role within the construction industry.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Project is essential.
- Capability to interpret plans and formulate construction schedules.
