Senior Director of Major Gifts

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Director, Major Gifts to join our team at United Way Miami. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to secure major gifts from individuals, corporations, and foundations to support our mission.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement a comprehensive major gifts strategy to achieve annual and long-term fundraising goals.
- Build and maintain relationships with major donors, including identifying, qualifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding gifts of $100,000 or more.
- Collaborate with volunteers, development staff, and other United Way staff to achieve fundraising goals and objectives.
- Participate in prospect management meetings to ensure coordination of cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship activities.
- Attend United Way events and outside events to represent the organization and build relationships with donors and stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
- Five years of experience in individual fundraising with a track record of closing major gifts in education, human services, or a related field.
- Knowledge of modern web browsers, Word, Excel, Outlook, and database management systems.
- Excellent communication, public speaking, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt to changing situations and understand industry trends.
- A competitive salary range of $83,230 - $105,000 annually.
- A hybrid schedule with 2 days from home and 3 days on-site.
