We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Director, Major Gifts to join our team at United Way Miami, Inc. This is an exceptional opportunity to make a meaningful impact in our community by developing and building relationships with key stakeholders to address the health and human service needs of our community.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy to identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward major gifts from individuals who can make significant contributions to our organization.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with donors, volunteers, and other stakeholders to ensure a high level of engagement and support for our mission.
- Collaborate with the development team to ensure effective communication and coordination of fundraising efforts.
- Participate in prospect management meetings to ensure coordination of cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship activities.
- Attend United Way events and outside events to represent our organization and build relationships with key stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree required or equivalent experience.
- Five years of experience in individual fundraising with a track record of closing major gifts in education, the human services area preferred.
- Knowledge of modern web browsers, Word, Excel, Outlook, and Andar (database).
- Ability to adapt to changing situations, public speaking, and negotiation skills.
United Way Miami, Inc. is a leading nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the lives of individuals and families in our community. We are committed to creating a more equitable and just society by addressing the root causes of poverty, education, and health disparities.
We offer a competitive salary range of $83,230 - $105,000 annually, a hybrid schedule with 2 days from home and 3 days on-site, and a comprehensive benefits package including exempt status, 12 paid holidays, 12 PTO paid days, and a wellness program reimbursement up to $50/month.
