Position Overview:

WGI Inc is in search of a Lead Utility Operations Specialist with a robust background of 10 years in the field to join our esteemed Transportation Division.

This role will be situated in one of our various offices across Florida.

The ideal candidate will possess the ability to analyze and interpret FDOT plans, have a proven track record in FDOT plans production, and demonstrate effective communication with utility agencies. Familiarity with FDOT plan reviews and the resolution of conflicts between roadways and utilities is essential.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee utility coordination, review roadway plans, manage utility work schedules, and facilitate utility agreements while ensuring effective multi-discipline and inter-company collaboration.

Qualifications:

The Lead Utility Operations Specialist should possess the following qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in utility coordination in alignment with FDOT standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the FDOT plans production process and utility coordination practices.
  • Familiarity with FDOT agreements, standards, policies, and procedures.
  • A strong background in Alternative Delivery methods (e.g., Design Build) will be advantageous.
  • Exceptional organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication abilities, including technical writing and the capacity to conduct one-on-one meetings with utility stakeholders.
  • The ideal candidate will exhibit a proactive, task-oriented approach.
