Position: Grapple Truck Specialist

Location: Ocoee, FL

Overview: The Grapple Truck Specialist plays a crucial role in delivering exceptional service to clients while ensuring safety and efficiency. This position involves the management of various container services, including delivery, collection, and emptying operations.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Possess a valid CDL Class A or B with an impeccable driving history.
  • Operate the grapple truck in a safe and effective manner.
  • Facilitate the pick-up and drop-off of roll-off containers at designated job sites.
  • Evaluate container contents, secure loads, and transport safely to designated disposal locations.
  • Prepare and submit necessary documentation, including dump slips, rental agreements, and timecards.
  • Ensure the maintenance of the truck and associated equipment, presenting a clean and professional appearance.
  • Perform additional tasks as required.

Qualifications:

General: To excel in this role, candidates must demonstrate the ability to fulfill each core responsibility effectively. Reasonable accommodations may be provided for individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.

Education and Experience: This position is not entry-level and requires substantial prior experience as a Grapple Truck Driver. A high school diploma or GED is preferred. Candidates should be capable of understanding work instructions and communicating effectively with supervisors and colleagues. A minimum of three years of relevant experience is required.

Physical Requirements: The physical demands outlined below are representative of those that must be met by a Grapple Truck Specialist to successfully perform essential job functions:

  • Regularly required to sit, use hands for handling objects, and reach with arms.
  • Ability to stand, walk, climb, balance, and perform tasks such as kneeling or crouching.
  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, and depth perception.
  • Frequent walking on uneven surfaces in varying weather conditions.

Work Environment: The characteristics of the work environment described below are representative of those encountered by a Grapple Truck Specialist:

  • Work is conducted outdoors in diverse weather conditions.
  • Exposure to high noise levels, grease, and dust typical of construction sites.
  • Regular proximity to heavy machinery and moving equipment.
  • Involvement with various substances commonly found on construction sites.
