Role Summary

As the Culinary Operations Manager, you will lead kitchen activities while ensuring a safe and hygienic environment for all team members. You will oversee meal preparation in alignment with corporate standards and guidelines, making this a fantastic opportunity for a dynamic and innovative culinary leader.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Designs and implements regular and customized menus in accordance with established protocols.
  • Adheres to standardized recipes and presentation standards, utilizing daily production logs and waste tracking sheets. Conducts taste tests to guarantee meal quality.
  • Trains kitchen personnel in food preparation techniques, safe food handling, equipment operation, and sanitation practices in compliance with company and regulatory standards.
  • Establishes and upholds cleaning and maintenance schedules for kitchen equipment and workspaces, ensuring staff compliance.
  • Manages inventory of food and non-food items to adhere to budgetary guidelines while ensuring product availability.
  • Makes informed decisions regarding the use of leftover food products, adhering to company policies.
  • Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal health regulations and sanitation protocols, as verified through audits.
  • Follows safety policies and procedures, including incident reporting.
  • Participates in departmental meetings and professional development opportunities as appropriate.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Associate's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Three to five years of progressive experience in culinary management, depending on educational background.
  • Experience in high-volume catering is advantageous.
  • Experience in complex food service operations is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with institutional and batch cooking methods.
  • Hands-on culinary experience is essential.
  • Thorough understanding of food trends, quality control, sanitation, and cost management.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other computer applications.
  • ServSafe certification is preferred.
