As part of our mission, we are seeking a skilled Cardiovascular Imaging Specialist to join our dynamic team. This role is essential in performing diagnostic imaging and related procedures to accurately visualize anatomy for interpretation and intervention in cardiovascular cases.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a role model within the Cardiology department, supporting strategic initiatives.
  • Collaborate effectively with medical staff and interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient care.
  • Deliver high-quality care while assessing patient conditions and ensuring adherence to protocols.
  • Gather and document comprehensive patient clinical histories accurately.
  • Position patients and equipment to capture high-quality images for diagnostic interpretation.
  • Monitor processed images for technical quality and patient identification.
  • Implement radiation protection principles to minimize exposure risks.
  • Provide physiological and hemodynamic monitoring during diagnostic and interventional procedures.
  • Assist physicians as a scrub assistant during cardiovascular interventions.
  • Maintain knowledge of aseptic techniques and evaluate hemostasis post-procedure.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Stay informed about legal issues, patient rights, and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Maintain productivity during downtime and report equipment issues promptly.
  • Utilize departmental computer systems efficiently and assist in policy development.
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of work areas and equipment.
  • Be available for evening, weekend, holiday, and on-call shifts as required.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Graduate of an accredited program in Cardiovascular Technology, Respiratory Therapy, or Radiologic Technology.
  • Licensure/Certification: Current BLS and ACLS certifications are required. Additional certifications such as Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) or Cardiovascular Intervention (CI) are preferred.
  • Experience: A minimum of three years of experience in a Cardiac Catheterization lab is required.
