About the Role:

In the capacity of CAPEX and MRO Procurement Manager, you will play a pivotal role in collaborating with internal teams to grasp the requirements of our capital expenditure (CAPEX) planning and budgeting. You will be responsible for fostering relationships with key external partners to deliver effective solutions. Reporting directly to the Director of Strategic Sourcing, your responsibilities will include managing relationships with our facilities to identify, procure, and source the appropriate machinery from approved suppliers. You will also be tasked with establishing and maintaining Requests for Information (RFIs) and Requests for Proposals (RFPs) for strategic initiatives, as well as executing legal contracts as necessary. Furthermore, you will be instrumental in optimizing our Maintenance, Repair, and Operations (MRO) function, which is essential for operational excellence.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Identify, evaluate, and establish partnerships with suppliers of capital equipment and MRO.
  • Cultivate relationships with key strategic and transactional supply partners.
  • Collaborate across departments with Operations, R&D, and facility leaders to translate operational needs into sourcing objectives.
  • Conduct Strategic Sourcing Events (RFPs, RFQs & RFIs) for equipment and MRO.
  • Develop and implement MRO cost-saving strategies.
  • Create and maintain redundancy plans and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Negotiate advantageous contract terms for CapEx and MRO materials and services.
  • Manage supplier relationships for CapEx and MRO.
  • Monitor supplier performance and engage stakeholders for feedback.
  • Develop key performance indicators (KPIs), regular reporting, and communication regarding MRO contract compliance.
  • Liaise with Senior Leadership team members.

Your Qualifications:

  • 6-8 years of experience in Strategic Sourcing, particularly in operations, manufacturing, or fulfillment.
  • Extensive experience in executing sourcing events in the CapEx and MRO categories.
  • Strong business acumen.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with all levels of leadership and influence decisions.
  • Understanding of operational workflows within a facility.
  • Expert knowledge of MRO-related categories and taxonomy, with the ability to analyze complex vendor price quotes against business needs.
  • Familiarity with sourcing, supply chain management, and inventory management principles.
  • Experience in MRO spend management.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment with shifting priorities.
  • Exceptional negotiation and contract optimization skills.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Strategic Sourcing.
  • Experience in pharmaceutical settings is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Willingness to travel up to 35% of the time.

Conditions of Employment:

  • This role involves working with Hazardous Drugs (HD), necessitating the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) during such tasks.
  • Medical approval is required to wear respiratory protection, including N95 masks and other specified equipment.
  • Physical exertion is necessary, including walking, standing, squatting, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
