Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement sourcing strategies to ensure the timely and cost-effective procurement of high-quality ingredients, food products, beverages, equipment, paper goods, cleaning materials, and other supplies needed across all restaurant locations.
- Identify, evaluate, and establish relationships with suppliers and vendors. Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms to secure favorable agreements while maintaining quality standards, ensuring reliability of supply, at the most favorable prices.
- Oversee vendor inventory levels and forecasting to prevent stockouts or excess inventory. Implement inventory control procedures and systems to optimize inventory turnover and minimize waste.
- Monitor and analyze supply chain costs, including procurement costs, transportation expenses, and inventory holding costs. Identify opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvement initiatives.
- Develop and enforce quality standards for all incoming supplies, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations and company standards. Implement quality control processes to safeguard the integrity and freshness of ingredients between both our vendors and four-wall restaurants.
- Coordinate logistics operations to ensure timely delivery of supplies to each restaurant location. Optimize transportation routes and modes to minimize costs and streamline delivery processes.
- Work closely with restaurant operations leadership to understand their supply needs and preferences. Collaborate on menu development, promotions, and special events to ensure supply availability and support business objectives.
- Stay informed about regulatory requirements related to food safety, labeling, recalls, and sourcing practices. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards to mitigate risks and liabilities.
- Leverage technology solutions such as supply chain management software, inventory tracking systems, and data analytics tools to improve visibility, efficiency, and decision-making in the supply chain.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess supply chain performance and identify areas for improvement. Implement process enhancements and best practices to enhance operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Lead and develop a team of supply chain professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and support to foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence. Scale team based on business scale and needs.
- Explore opportunities to integrate sustainable sourcing practices and environmentally friendly packaging options into the supply chain strategy, aligning with corporate social responsibility goals while maintaining fiscal responsibility and budgets.
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced professional with a strong background in supply chain management. The ideal candidate will have:
- 5+ years of experience with high SKU supply chain
- Experience opening new markets
- Experience in Compliance and Risk Management
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
