Salary: Starting from $37,440 to $49,920 annually, based on experience

Shift Differentials:

  • 2nd Shift: Additional $1 per hour
  • 3rd Shift: Additional $2 per hour

Benefits: Available from the first day after two full months of employment

Position Summary

The Mail Inserting Machine Operator is tasked with the setup, operation, and maintenance of mail-inserting machinery to guarantee the precise and timely processing of mail items. This role demands meticulous attention to detail, strict adherence to deadlines, and the capability to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

Machine Operation:

  • Configure and operate mail-inserting machines for various mail types, including letters and promotional materials.
  • Ensure machines are supplied with the correct materials and programmed according to job specifications.
  • Monitor machine performance and make necessary adjustments to optimize efficiency and quality.

Quality Assurance:

  • Examine completed mail pieces to confirm compliance with company and client standards.
  • Identify and rectify misaligned inserts or damaged materials.

Troubleshooting and Maintenance:

  • Conduct routine maintenance on mail-inserting machines to minimize downtime.
  • Diagnose and address mechanical issues promptly, collaborating with maintenance personnel as needed.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate records of machine output and maintenance activities.
  • Regularly report production data and machine performance to supervisors.

Safety and Compliance:

  • Adhere to all safety protocols to ensure a secure working environment.
  • Comply with company policies and industry standards.

Collaboration:

  • Work closely with team members to ensure smooth production flow.
  • Effectively communicate with supervisors regarding machine status and production progress.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Prior experience with mail-inserting machines or similar equipment preferred.
  • Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.

Physical Requirements

  • Work is conducted in a warehouse or production facility environment.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and operate equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts.
  • Frequent standing, walking, and using repetitive motions are required.
