The Human Resources Manager plays a crucial role in aligning staffing with business objectives, maintaining essential HR initiatives, and overseeing talent management. This position collaborates closely with the Plant General Manager to integrate HR considerations into broader organizational strategies. A solid understanding of labor and employment laws, coupled with exceptional communication skills, is essential for promoting MCC's Core Values and culture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring Optimal Staffing: The HR Manager will utilize talent acquisition strategies to address open positions and identify strategic personnel needs. This role will engage with local staffing agencies for temporary placements and lead the hiring process for hourly positions, contributing to the selection of Plant management candidates. Implementing labor forecasting tools and analyzing turnover data will be vital for anticipating future staffing requirements.
  • Enhancing Managerial and HR Team Effectiveness: This role will spearhead the MCC talent identification and succession planning process, known as the 'People Plan.' The HR Manager will facilitate this process within their plant, collaborating with the HR Director to compile data on key internal talent for upcoming openings. They will also drive individual development planning and performance management initiatives, conducting semi-annual talent assessments to evaluate training offerings and identify future needs.
  • Optimizing Onboarding and Communication: The HR Manager will ensure the successful execution of the company’s onboarding strategy, providing feedback for continuous improvement. They will monitor and enhance communication channels, including Town Hall meetings and feedback sessions, ensuring all associates engage in the annual 'Speak Up' survey and that action plans are developed to enhance workplace culture.

Qualifications:

  • Preferred undergraduate degree in Human Resources or a related field
  • 5+ years of HR generalist experience, with a preference for manufacturing and multi-site operations
